The purpose of this blog is to enlighten retailers/restaurants that they are indeed allowed by law (Bill 178) to have bilingual signs in their outlets, and to put pressure on those who fail to show respect for their English clients in Quebec or French ones in Ontario.

Fast food restaurants can easily overcome their common objection (too much info upon signs) by having plasticized English/French menus available to hand out to tourists, etc. This is a tiny expense and a nice way for restaurants to show that they actually care.

Personally, I think that restaurant menu boards in predominantly English speaking areas should be bilingual. If not, I boycott!!!
